MOUNT PLEASANT, MI — A Central Michigan University student was abducted, raped and jumped out of a moving vehicle to save her own life, police said.
The suspect, a 30-year-old Mount Pleasant man, is dead after leading police on an overnight chase throughout Northern Michigan, said Isabella County Sheriff Leo Mioduszewski.

Fifth man accused of killing South Fla. teen in 2002 pleads guilty
Hector Caraballo, 40, entered his plea Friday. He also agreed to a 50-year prison term.
Caraballo is the last defendant to be convicted of murdering Ana Maria Angel. Authorities claim the 18-year-old and her boyfriend were walking back to their car on South Beach when they were forced into a pickup truck. The boyfriend's throat was slashed, but he survived and called police.

Police search for missing 12-year-old girl in New Jersey
Police say Autumn Pasquale, 12, was last seen leaving her home on W. High Street in Clayton on Saturday around 12:30 p.m. while riding a white Odyssey BMX bike to a friend's house. The girl's parents called police after they say she never made it to that friend's house.
